Cascade Junior Varsity took 15 freshmen, 7 sophomores, and 2 juniors Saturday Morning to West Lafayette to take on the Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos Freshman Team looking to complete the 2-0 sweep through week 4. Cadets would light up the scoreboard for the third week in a row at the junior varsity level, putting up 50 points and only giving up 18. Cascade junior varsity offense would total 508 yards on the day with 437 coming on the ground. Leading the way was FR Lucas Farmer with 15 carries 211 yards 4 total touchdowns and FR Caleb Powers 19 carries 131 yards 1 touchdown. The Cascade offense has now scored 158 points in the last three junior varsity games. Defensively, Cadets were led by FR Lucas Farmer who tallied 10 tackles and two tackles for a loss. FR Trent Austin and FR Caleb Powers would both come up with 8 tackles and one interception each. Cadets would outscore the Bronchos 28-12 at halftime and 22-6 in the second half of the game, giving the Cadets a 50-18 victory. The defense forced 3 takeaways and gave up 326 yards. Cascade Junior Varsity will be back at home on 9/18 to take on Indianapolis Lutheran Junior Varsity following the Friday Night contest.
