Cascade High School is proud to announce the hiring of Nick Brickens as the next head coach of the Cadet football program. Coach Brickens brings a championship background as both a player and coach to Cascade Athletics. A graduate of the University of Saint Francis, Brickens was a member of two NAIA National Championship football teams under legendary head coach Kevin Donley. Prior to his collegiate career, he helped lead New Palestine High School to a 2014 State Championship and a 2015 State Runner-Up finish while serving as a team captain and South All-Star selection. Brickens has quickly established himself as one of the rising young coaches in Indiana high school football. Most recently, he served as Associate Head Coach, Special Teams Coordinator, and position coach at New Palestine High School, helping guide the Dragons to the 2025 Class 5A State Championship and the 2024 4A State Championship. Throughout his coaching career, he has helped develop multiple all-conference and scholarship-level athletes while contributing to several sectional, regional, and state championship teams. “We are excited to welcome Coach Brickens to Cascade,” said Athletic Director Scott Stevens. “Nick is a proven winner who understands the importance of relationships, culture, and developing young men both on and off the field. His passion for football, leadership experience, and commitment to student-athletes make him an outstanding fit for our school and community.” Cascade High School welcomes Coach Brickens and his family to the Cadet community as preparations begin for the upcoming football season.
