Cascade will come into this game sitting at 4-2 looking to get to 5-2 for the first time since 2013. Cascade relies heavily on their No-Huddle Wing-T offense that rushes for 319 yards per game. Owen Valley will rely on a pretty balanced spread attack. The last meeting with these two teams came back in 2020 where the Cadets beat Owen Valley 43-7. A LITTLE PIECE OF HISTORY With a win Friday Night, Cascade can solidify their second straight winning record in the regular season, which hasn’t happened in 18 years. In 2006 Coach Derek Moyers led the Cadets 8-2 in 2005 and 10-2 in 2006, which happened to be the most successful four year stretch where Cascade tallied a 31-12 record. CADET NOTES Offensively, Cascade got back to their identity in their no-huddle wing-t attack rushing for 355 yards and 76 through the air. It is their 4th 400+ yard performance of the year. Defensively, Cadets have struggled significantly stopping both teams. Last week versus North Putnam, the Cougars ran 82 total plays for 459 with 271 through the air and 188 on the ground. Cascade has given up the last two games 49 and 39 points. With all of that, Cascade has sacked the quarterback 8 times and forced 3 turnovers, along with a fumble return for a touchdown. Cascade will need to make corrections if they want to see a postseason run past the first round. SO Brady Trebley leads the offense that averages 374 yards per game. Trebley is completing 57% of his passes for 330 yards and 5 touchdowns through six weeks on just 32 attempts averaging 18.3 yards per completion. FR Rhyder Williams will serve as the back-up quarterback for the Cadets. Rhyder continues to show consistent improvement at the JV completing 14-21 passes for 301 yards and 3 touchdowns. So JT Roshong leads this group with 2 catches for 50 yards. JR Daemen Mason had 2 catches for 20 yards against the Cougars. Tight ends will look to be both physical blockers and pass catchers at the tight end position. Both played a vital role in the success of the rush attack, but also in the play action pass. The offensive line averages in weight a combined 200lbs. Last week, the front line was able to pave the way with 431 yards versus North Putnam that saw 355 coming on the ground attack. The defensive line will look to bounce back after giving up 471 yards to a 1-5 North Putnam team. JR Duncan White leads the defensive line up front with 20 tackles, 8.0 TFL, 3 sacks and 1 forced fumble. They will need to plug holes and use their speed to contain the Patriots offense which averages over 254 yards per game. The linebacking group will look to anchor the 2nd level defense.
