The Lady Cadets' last game of the season was a short drive down to the south side of Indianapolis to play the Perry Meridian Lady Falcons. Perry Meridian is listed as a 3A team in the IHSAA classification and is a member of the Mid-State Conference. The two teams have little history between one another and had only played each other in 2024, which ended in a 0-0 tie. Last season, the game between the two schools was cancelled due to the limited roster for the Cadets. Coming off of Monday’s loss to Greencastle, the Lady Cadets made the trip down to Perry Meridian’s athletic complex with the aspirations of building back up their offensive confidence and defensive tenacity. The Cadets did a very good job handling the Perry Meridian offensive and defensive pressure at bay for the opening minutes of the game. But after Perry Meridian scored their first two goals just before the midway point of the first half, the game tempo and control quickly shifted in favor of the Lady Falcons. The Lady Cadets did their best effort to build up their offensive rhythm in the last minutes of the first half but the Falcons speed and technical superiority limited any good offensive attempts. The first half ended with Perry Meridian holding a 3-0 lead. The second half resembled much of the last minutes of the first half. The Lady Cadets would create one or two really good offensive attacks and the Lady Falcons would push the ball right back down into the defensive third of the Cadets. The Cadets would never score for the game but they did their best in trying to build out deep from their end of the field. Perry Meridian would add three more goals in the second half and easily win the game 6-0. The 6-0 loss for the Cadets ends their regular season record at 1-13. The Lady Falcons finish their regular season with a record of 6-7-2. Perry Meridian will travel to Greenfield Central for their IHSAA Sectional #12 competitions. The Lady Falcons will face the Lady Flashes (7-9-1) of Franklin Central High School on Tuesday, October 6th. Cascade is the host site for the IHSAA Sectional #27 competitions and the Lady Cadets will play their first game of the tournament Tuesday night against Western Boone. The Cadets and Stars played each other in the opening weeks of the season and the game ended in a 3-1 Lady Stars victory after a very physical game. The start time for the Lady Cadets’ game with Western Boone will be around 7:30 p.m. Game Summary 1H 2H Final Cascade 0 0 0 Perry Meridian 3 3 6
