Cadets open season with loss to Plainfield

The Cascade boys swim and dive team opened their season with a 119-65 loss to Plainfield. The Cadets came away with three event wins against the Quakers. Caden Potters let the way with wins in the 200 IM and the 100 butterfly. Cason VonEhrenkrook added a event win in the 100 breaststroke. Evan Franklin brought home a 2nd place finish in the 200 free with Sawyer Ellis finished 4th in the event. Jackson Bolinger finished 2nd in the 50 free with teammate Noah Bush in 4th. Freshman diver Brayden Marcum finished 4th in his first ever diving competition. In the 100 free Noah Bush finished added of Jackson Bolinger as the pair of speedsters traded positions from their 50 finish. Freshman Silas Neeley finished 4th in the 500 free and Evan Franklin brought home a 3rd in the 100 backstroke. The Cadets will be looking for that first win this Thursday when they travel to Terre Haute to swim against 4A Terre Haute North Patriots
