Boys Find Speed In Win Over Danville

By Paul Williams | Dec 9, 2022 11:01 AM

The Cadets boys team found the speed they have been looking for last night against Danville and the result was a 99-83 win of the Warriors. The guys are really working hard and the results are beginning to show. The Cadets had numerous drops in time in critical areas for the team. In the 200 free Evan Franklin and Sawyer Ellis both had time drops. The 200 IM saw Caden Potters and Cason VonEhrenkrook dropping time along with a big 1-2 finish. Jackson Bolinger and Noah Bush both held their times in the 50 free with a 2-3 finish while Cameron Rance posted his best ever time in the 50 free. In perhaps one of the most difficult events of the night, Freshman Diver Brayden Marcum faced off against last years State Champion Diver and Olympic hopeful Holden Higbie. Brayden responded by putting in his best performance of the season. Jackson Bolinger and Noah Bush continue to find speed in 100 free with a 1-3 finish. Emory Lopossa is quickly getting up to speed with a solid win in the 500. Evan Franklin and Silas Neeley finished 2-3 in the 100 backstroke. The 100 breaststroke had Cason VonEhrenkrook cruising to the win with teammate Owen Myers in 3rd. From the coaches: The boys put together a solid meet tonight. Some big swims when we needed them and our relays did a excellent job. The boys travel to Clinton Central HS to compete in the CC invitational.
