The Cascade Girls Soccer team hosted Decatur Central High School for an intersquad scrimmage under IHSAA guidelines. The scrimmage game was broken into four segments (20 minutes running clock, 20 minutes running clock, 30 minutes running clock, and PK practice). The Lady Cadets scored in the first segment and the third segment to defeat the Lady Hawks 3-0. Creedance Chittenden scored two goals on the night and contributed an assist on the other goal scored by the Lady Cadets. Anna Burns scored the team's third goal during in the third segment. To finish out the scrimmage game, both teams lined up and took practice Penalty Kicks. The Cadets scored on four of their Penalty Kicks and Decatur Central scored on three. The Cadets goalie Zoey Wynkenen saved four penalty shots in the final practice and stopped four shots on goal (SOG) during the game. The Lady Cadets will open up their 2023 season at home next Wednesday with North Putnam High School.
